After having recently conquered the ‘Three Peaks Challenge’, INK Digital’s Client Services Director, Mark Bower, has just been shortlisted for the prestigious Digital Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Mark is one of six finalists for the gong.
We pulled Mark away from his hectic schedule to get his thoughts on being recognised for his outstanding achievements. The ever so humble digital genius had the following to share “Really, I would have to say that the only justification I can see for me being shortlisted is the fact that I have had a broad range of experience – and not all of it good. As motivational guru Tony Robbins says ‘When you win, you party. When you fail, you ponder’. I can testify from first-hand experience that’s definitely true!
“Also, they do say that ‘Good decisions come from experience, and experience comes from bad decisions’. This isn’t a flippant point, it’s genuinely true. Most of what we learn comes from our mistakes. I feel the value that I have these days is largely due to the ability to bring this hard-won and very expensively acquired experience to bear on future projects. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. The key is to get back up, absorb what you can from the experience and keep improving and growing!”
